 Horror

Horror doesn't need long set up to work. If you use the appropriate ideas, you can quickly scare the audience. Horror, in my opinion, has a lot of to offer because the best way for attracting in viewers is to immediately make them feel scared. I think a horror genre would be the best for me.

I'm thinking of choosing horror for my portfolio project. I like horror because it brings out suspense and scary. I dont know why but its the fear and the scares that make me love tho movie. Horror films try to make you feel scared or nervous. Horror movies target more younger people like older teens to adults no really older people above 55. Tension and shock are what the audience wants. Stress, panic, and terror are common feelings. Horror films have straightforward plots with strong moments. Horror can blend with other genres, like mystery or thriller even comedy is possible. Movies that have danger, unknown monsters, or terror are possible in horror.

Scared and survival are the some of the main themes of horror movies. Danger, loneliness, death, murder and fear of the unknown are common plot themes. Horror movie openings usually start peacefully before something seems strange and something really bad happens which is the main event. This helps with building tension and suspense early. It gives you a feeling that something bad is about to happen and you never know what is coming next.

Horror techniques are very important. Its common to use low lighting for hiding something so you are scared by sudden loud noises, and to keep the mysterious vibe. Fear is shown on faces through close up shots but there are a bunch of different shots used during horror. A bit of everything. Horrors institutional conventions. Sharp or dark fonts are used for titles. Fear and mystery are important parts in marketing. Scary scenes are shown in trailers but they don't go into much detail. For horror to get people's attention and scare you good marketing is really important.

IT: Welcome To Derry 

Welcome to Derry is a horror show with a connection to the world of IT its a prequel that explains the past before the original movie. The show happens in Derry, just before the movies start. It shows the town's dark past and the evil that is in it. The show tries to show that the evil isnt just pennywise but its the town that are evil to eachother. The shows shows fear and mystery, showing the town's lasting impact on its residents. Dark lighting and quiet scenes build tension. The editing is a big part of the movie to edit the scary scenes. The story creates a sense of unease. Danger feels close even when nothing is happening. This show is a good example of a good horror show.
