For our project, we were asked to make a short story using 15 different camera shots. The shots that we needed were: an establishing shot, long shot, two medium shots, two close-ups, extreme close-up, point-of-view shot, high-angle shot, low-angle shot, and one shot of the rule of thirds.
I choose to make my story on a Highlighter cap who got separated from its body and had to struggle and fight to get back to his partner. I used the different shots to show the sadness and emotion of the highlighter cap.
I think I did a good job in choosing the right shots for each moment and showing the expressions of the highlighter cap and showing the struggle of the cap trying to get back to its partner. I had some good shots, but my favorite was the medium shot low angle, and although low angles are used to show the character has more power, in this instance it's quite the opposite, as it's showing the character looking up at the desk it had fallen from, which shows the frustration of the cap as it has realized that it's fallen and is away from its partner, and it's going to be extremely hard for it to get back up. The desk in this scenario is showing the power. I think I could've done better in elaborating on what and why I chose the shots and what they mean because towards the end of the project I got lazy and wasn't trying
