Project Directions
The One word film project is intended to show the definition of a word through a short film using visuals, sound, and editing. We had to brainstorm a storyboard, shoot, and edit our films to best show the word, our word was relived.
Approach
We approached the assignment by thinking of a story with a plot and not a montage. The day that the project was assigned I lost my Testing ticket for the FASt testing so I was nervous and then I got an inspiration. We came up with a boy who losses his testing ticket for a test and then his friend got it for him and the boy is relived. We then started to think of the shots and composition. We used the storyboard to help with that. The storyboard really helped us because it was like a guide/ template on how to shoot each shot. We ended up using adobe express for the simplistic reason because it was able to get all the simple things done that where needed for the project while still having some neat features.
Analysis
I believe that our project was done very well and in the end we where able to convey the meaning of our word "Relieved". We really used the right shots and good composition to build up the plot of the story. I think that we couldve been more efficient with our time because we where shooting in sequence but we couldve gotten a lot more done if we didnt, we missed a couple shots because of our poor time management. Towards the ending our shots where a little rushed and we probably couldve worked on it more but overall I think Me and Santi did well on our film project.
